1. How does Botox work?
Botulinum toxin type A is used in small doses to treat wrinkles on the forehead, around the eyes or on the neck by temporarily blocking nerve signals that cause muscles to contract. The results are smoother skin and fewer wrinkles for four to six months.
2. Can anybody get Botox injections?
No. Botox is approved for specific uses, such as severe underarm sweating or uncontrolled blinking and for smoothing out forehead wrinkles between the eyebrows that are caused by repeated muscle contractions.

The effects of a single treatment can last anywhere from three to six months, although some people find the effects wear off after three months. You may need to return every three months for a top-up treatment, depending on how your body reacts and responds to the drug.
